Role Summary:

The captain is responsible for managing the dining room, coordinating between the kitchen and the service staff, and ensuring that all guests have an enjoyable dining experience.

Restaurant Captain Responsibilities:

  • The captain supervises the service team and ensures that all servers are providing prompt and courteous service.
  • Also train new servers and provide feedback to improve service standards.
  • The captain manages the dining room, ensuring that all tables are set correctly and that the restaurant is clean and well-presented.
  • Oversee the reservation system and seating arrangements to ensure that all guests are accommodated in a timely and efficient manner.
  • The captain works closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and served promptly and to the correct specifications.
  • Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen team.

Restaurant Captain Requirements:

  • Has at least 1 year of experience within the same role.
  • Will be expected to provide the highest levels of service to our guests and gain extensive knowledge of our food and drink menu.
  • Has excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for delivering first class service and a willingness to learn are essential in this role.
  • Must be a team player and assist throughout the restaurant by ensuring that every opportunity to give high-quality service is completed. Teamwork is essential and required by all our staff.
