About the Position

Job title: Restaurant General Manager

Summary:

We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Restaurant General Manager to join our dynamic team! In this crucial leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of the restaurant’s daily operations, ensuring smooth execution, efficient resource utilization, and a focus on exceeding guest expectations.

Job Description for Restaurant General Manager:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including scheduling, staffing, inventory control, food safety, and guest satisfaction
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and systems to optimize efficiency, minimize waste, and maximize profitability
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Oversee beverage cost control by monitoring inventory, negotiating with vendors, and minimizing waste
  • Analyze restaurant data to identify trends, optimize pricing strategies, and improve operational performance
  • Prepare and manage budgets for all operational aspects of the restaurant
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Operations Director on beverage menu development and overall guest experience
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in restaurant operations
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on marketing initiatives and execution
  • Oversee the backend system of SevenRooms, Point of sales, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and hygiene regulations by the respective government agencies within Front of House

Requirements for Restaurant General Manager:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with at least 2 years in a management role
  • Proven track record of success in leading and motivating restaurant teams
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service standards, and inventory management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a focus on achieving results
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Food handling certification a plus
