Bar / Restaurant Chef de Cuisine Job Description:
- Chefs de Cuisine supervises kitchen operations in commercial and private kitchens.
- He/She stabilize excellent cooking skills with managerial decision-making.
- Key decisions about menu, ingredients, and even employees within the kitchen.
- Take part in an important role in menu creation, food production and presentation, and kitchen function.
- To regularly balance providing a high level of customer fulfillment with keeping the kitchen moving effectively.
- Correlate the food preparation and service function within the kitchen.
- Designate tasks to sous chefs and other chefs and ensure that food is serve on time.
- Instruct both kitchen and restaurant staff on proper information and assign tasks.
- Support the restaurant’s standard by continue monitoring the food and presentation that is serve to the guest.
- Always check plates to make sure that food is correctly prepare and presented.
- Check the food and supervise kitchen staff throughout the process.
- Make sure that food is adequately cooked and seasoned.
- Make key recommendations about the menu items and selections.
- Construct menus weekly or monthly in advance based on guest feedback and demand, seasonal, and special events.
- Work with the owner or restaurant staff to discuss menu selections and develop creative food throughout the year.
- Assist restaurant operations by choosing and sourcing ingredients.
Requirements:
– Must have an experience of 3-5 years in management level
– Being able to work independently
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
