Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Head Chef in the culinary menu conceptualization, development, engineering, and daily execution.
- Performs any additional duties as directed by the Head Chef.
- Stays current in the developments of cooking and cuisine and makes appropriate suggestions and recommendations to the Head Chef.
- Attends meetings and training as directed by the Head Chef and General Manager
- Works hand in hand with the Heads of Departments in the property to set forth a world-class HR, training, and leadership program.
- Prepares in conjunction with the Head Chef an annual or seasonal menu change cycle and ensures the relevant changes occur as planned.
- Maintains an efficient administration within the department preparing and submitting operational
reports on time
Sous Chef Requirements:
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional lifestyle experiences.
- 5+ years experience working in a high-end restaurant and with ideally Peruvian / Japanese Nikkei culinary experience.
- Ability to train associates in service quality, job skills, food handling, health, safety, and sanitation.
