Job Description:

Our client, a renowned hotel in Hong Kong, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager to oversee and manage the operations. In this role, the ideal candidate will leverage their proven track record of leadership in the hospitality industry. Additionally, they should have a strong understanding of local market trends, which will be essential in driving business performance while delivering exceptional guest experiences. As the key figure in ensuring operational excellence, the Hotel General Manager will play a vital role in the success and growth of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, front office, and maintenance. In addition, ensure that all departments operate efficiently and effectively in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Oversee budget preparation, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations. Moreover, analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability and meet financial goals.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality guest services, resolving complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction. To further enhance the experience, maintain a strong presence in the hotel to promote a welcoming and exceptional atmosphere.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a diverse team of hotel staff. Additionally, develop training programs to ensure team members meet performance standards, while conducting regular performance evaluations and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue. At the same time, build strong relationships with clients, travel agents, and key partners to increase brand visibility and drive bookings.
  • Ensure compliance with all local laws, health, safety, and hygiene standards. As part of this, manage risk assessments and ensure emergency procedures are in place.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute long-term strategies for growth, including renovations, expansions, and improvements to the guest experience.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in hotel management, including a senior leadership position, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with the Hong Kong hospitality market.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fluent in English and Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve financial targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry standards and trends.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and market demands.
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
