Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning & Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of catering events, including weddings, corporate functions, and banquets, ensuring client expectations are met. Additionally, collaborate with clients to customize events for a seamless experience.
- Team Management: Supervise and train catering staff, including servers, chefs, and kitchen staff, to ensure exceptional service delivery. Additionally, foster a positive and productive team environment to maintain high performance.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the executive chef and culinary team to create diverse, innovative catering menus that meet guests’ needs. Additionally, ensure high food quality and presentation to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Client Relations: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and offer customized catering solutions for a memorable experience. Additionally, handle client feedback and make necessary adjustments to ensure satisfaction.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop and manage catering budgets, ensuring cost control while maintaining food and service quality. Additionally, track expenses, manage supplies, and minimize waste to ensure profitability.
- Operational Efficiency: Oversee the setup and breakdown of catering events, ensuring all logistical aspects are organized, from equipment to staffing, to ensure smooth event execution.

- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all food and beverage operations comply with health, safety, and sanitation standards, following local regulations and hotel policies. Additionally, monitor operations to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and guests.
- Marketing & Sales Support: Assist in promoting and marketing catering services, collaborating with the sales and marketing team to increase business opportunities. Additionally, contribute to driving revenue for the hotel’s catering division through targeted initiatives.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in catering management, event planning, or food & beverage operations, preferably in a hotel or large event setting.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- In-depth knowledge of catering operations, food safety regulations, and event logistics.
- Proficiency in catering software, event management tools, and MS Office Suite.
- Budgeting and cost management experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Fluency in English and Cantonese (Mandarin is a plus).
- Creative and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
