Head Chef Job Summary:
The Head Chef is accountable for the overall success of the daily culinary operations and is responsible for the seamless running and organization of the kitchen.
It is of utmost importance that the Head Chef provides admirable team leadership and mentorship, which in turn delivers a highly efficient and effective service, and a consistent world-class standard food concept, all whilst supporting the delivery of outstanding customer service and
ensuring that all food handling and safety is of the highest level and meets all company and statutory standards.
Head Chef – Job Responsibilities:
- Work alongside General Manager and the culinary leadership team to develop a world-class and Michelin-star caliber culinary program.
- Prepares and cooks foods of all types on a regular basis and becomes the leading culinary face of the property for the team, the clientele, and across all PR activities.
- Produce and maintain the highest food quality and controls for all food products served in all areas.
- Menu engineering, pricing, and planning of menu cycle changes and utilization of food surpluses taking into account the probable number of guests, market conditions, and popularity of various dishes
and frequency of the menu. - Guarantees that menus, recipes, methods, plating standards, and specifications are followed.
- Ensures that accurate recipes are prepared and
cost for all menu items.
