General Manager Responsibilities:

It is by a Multinational Interior Design and Retail Company.
They are looking for an experienced, thoughtful, and entrepreneurial professional to achieve strategic objectives, and to provide leadership and direction to all employees in China.

The General Manager will report directly to CEO. (S)He will assume a full P&L responsibility over the business in the whole territory of Mainland China, all channels included

The General Manager role is multi-faceted embracing the following areas and how you will contribute:

• Identifying new business development opportunities in China
• Build a go-to-market plan and coverage model that targets the right markets with the right offerings
• Represent the company through networking with business partners/industries for collaboration opportunities
• To ensure optimum performance at all levels
• Build an effective structure, aligned, empowered and accountable China Team
• Provide leadership and entrepreneurship to support the growth in China
• Develop and executive financial targets
• Ensure that all operating units conform with local and national statutory laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in business or equivalent (MBA preferred)
• Minimum 10-15 years relevant experience in business management in China
• Proven track records in leading the prior teams to overachieve business targets
• Strong connections with business contacts across multiple industry sectors
• Entrepreneurial spirit, forward-thinking and can-do attitudes
• Has a keen and insightful link to people, a high sense of responsibility and coaching management style
• Problem solving-oriented with a pro-active and flexible approach
