Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the operations of our food and beverage department at a renowned Hotel in Doha. In this key role, the manager will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high service standards, and meeting financial goals. Additionally, the Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, controlling costs, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and fostering a positive guest experience. By overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations, the manager will ensure the department runs smoothly and contributes to the overall success of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the daily activities of food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, catering services, and room service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. In addition, ensure all departments are working together to meet operational objectives and maintain high standards.
  • Staff Management: Lead, train, and develop a team of food and beverage staff. Furthermore, provide continuous coaching, performance feedback, and foster a positive, collaborative environment to ensure exceptional service.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that guests receive outstanding service and attention, addressing any complaints or concerns promptly and professionally. As a result, you will maintain the reputation of the property for exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Inventory & Budget Management: Oversee the inventory control of food, beverages, and supplies. Order products as needed, manage stock levels, and ensure cost-effective purchasing. This includes controlling the department’s budget and minimizing waste to maximize profitability.
  • Menu Development & Quality Control: Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to create innovative and seasonal menus. In doing so, ensure all food and beverages meet quality standards for taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health regulations in line with Qatari laws and international standards, ensuring cleanliness and safety in all food and beverage operations. By maintaining these standards, you will guarantee the safety and well-being of guests and staff alike.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Monitor sales, expenses, and profitability. Provide regular reports to senior management and analyze trends to develop strategies that improve financial performance. This approach will help align department goals with broader financial objectives.
  • Marketing & Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement promotions, special events, and campaigns to enhance guest experience and increase revenue. Through these initiatives, you will drive brand awareness and guest loyalty.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping, front desk, and events, to ensure seamless operations and a smooth guest experience. This collaboration will ensure a cohesive guest journey from check-in to departure. 

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field; certification in food safety is preferred.
  •  At least 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, inventory management, and financial analysis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and industry trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage, given the local guest demographic.

Working Conditions:

  • Work Schedule: Full-time position, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, manage a fast-paced environment, and lift or move items when required.
  • Location: Doha, Qatar – Must be available to work on-site.
