Job Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and efficient Cashier to join their team in Hong Kong. You will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring smooth and accurate transactions while providing excellent customer service. In addition to processing payments, you will also be responsible for handling cash and credit transactions. Furthermore, your role will contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the café by interacting with customers in a warm and professional manner. Ultimately, your efforts will help create an exceptional experience for our guests, ensuring they leave with a smile every time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude as they enter the café.
- Accurately process customer orders and handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Assist customers in selecting menu items, answering any questions about products, and offering recommendations when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and ensure the checkout process is smooth.
- In case of any issues, handle customer complaints or inquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
- Collaboratively, work with the café team to ensure orders are processed promptly and correctly.
- Monitor stock levels of supplies like receipt paper, and inform the manager when reordering is needed.
- During off-peak hours, assist in maintaining inventory and help with stock organization.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Occasionally, perform other duties as assigned by the Café Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in cashiering, retail, or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to handle cash and transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Strong communication skills in Cantonese and English (Mandarin is a plus).
- Friendly and approachable demeanor, with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and basic math skills.
- Positive attitude and a team player with a passion for providing excellent service.
