Job Overview:
We are working alongside our client to find a skilled Hotel Maintenance Assistant to join their team in Dubai, playing a vital role in ensuring that all hotel facilities and equipment operate smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This position requires a hands-on professional capable of handling a wide range of maintenance tasks—from routine inspections and minor repairs to assisting with preventative maintenance programs. By working closely with the maintenance team, the Maintenance Assistant helps uphold the property’s high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Ultimately, this role is essential in creating a well-maintained, comfortable environment where guests can enjoy a seamless and enjoyable stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure proper functioning of equipment and systems.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, painting, and general repairs to hotel property.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel guests and staff, resolving issues efficiently while maintaining high standards of service.
- Assist in preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring that all hotel systems and equipment are regularly serviced to avoid breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment or systems as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Support smooth operations, collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance-related issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to guests.
- Report any significant maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, or potential improvements to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance or a similar technical field (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general maintenance procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
- Good physical condition, with the ability to lift and carry equipment or materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Working Environment:
