Job Summary:

Looking for a dynamic and professional Guest Relations Manager to join our team at a prestigious hotel in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that  guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay. As a key member of the team, you will create a welcoming atmosphere, oversee guest satisfaction, address concerns, and provide tailored services to enhance the overall guest experience. In this role, you will not only be at the forefront of guest interaction but also collaborate closely with various departments, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable experience for all guests, while continuously striving to exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Service Management:

    • Greet VIP and regular guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring a personalized and memorable experience, which sets the tone for their entire stay.
    • In addition, address and resolve any guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring that every issue is handled with care and attention.
    • Furthermore, maintain a strong presence in the hotel lobby to assist guests and ensure they feel valued, enhancing their overall impression of the hotel’s commitment to exceptional service.
  2. Staff Supervision:

    • Supervise the guest relations team, ensuring all staff members adhere to high service standards, which is essential for maintaining consistency in guest satisfaction.
    • In addition, train and mentor new employees, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to assist guests efficiently.
    • Furthermore, monitor performance, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching to the team, helping them continuously improve their skills.
  3. Communication & Coordination:

    • Act as the liaison between guests and other hotel departments to ensure guest requests and needs are met.
    • Additionally, coordinate with housekeeping, front office, and concierge teams to provide seamless guest service.
    • Moreover, ensure guest preferences, special requests, and feedback are communicated across departments for personalized services, further enhancing the guest experience.
  4. Guest Experience Enhancement:

    • Anticipate and fulfill guest needs by offering customized services, such as room upgrades, special amenities, or exclusive events.
    • Organize and oversee VIP programs, loyalty member benefits, and promotional initiatives aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction.
    • In addition, collect guest feedback through surveys or in-person interactions and develop strategies for improvement.
  5. Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain guest profiles, ensuring preferences, histories, and special requests are accurately recorded.
    • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on guest satisfaction and team performance.
    • Handle guest inquiries related to reservations, events, and local attractions, offering tailored recommendations.
  6. Cultural Awareness & Local Knowledge:

    • Offer guests insight into local culture, customs, and tourism activities specific to Hong Kong.
    • Moreover, stay informed about the latest developments in local attractions, dining, shopping, and events to provide updated information to guests.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a guest relations or customer service role in a luxury hotel or similar setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin (knowledge of additional languages is a plus).
  • Proven ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a calm, professional manner.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, guest satisfaction programs, and luxury hospitality standards.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
