Job Overview:

Our client, a renowned restaurant in Hong Kong, is seeking an experienced and passionate Food & Beverage Director to manage all aspects of their food and beverage operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, exceptional leadership skills, and a dedication to providing an unforgettable dining experience. This role focuses on operational excellence, financial management, and enhancing customer experience.

Key Responsibilities of Food & Beverage Director:

Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations to ensure seamless coordination among kitchen, front-of-house, and management teams, upholding high standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Menu Innovation: Work with the culinary team to create and refine seasonal, innovative menus that meet guest expectations and follow current culinary trends to keep the restaurant competitive.
Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, expense tracking, and financial controls. Identify revenue enhancement opportunities while managing costs to ensure profitability.
Guest Experience: Maintain exemplary service quality, manage guest concerns effectively to foster satisfaction and loyalty.
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate kitchen and service staff, conduct performance reviews, and promote continuous professional development.
Inventory Management: Handle inventory levels, ordering processes, and supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and quality purchasing.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to local health, safety, and hygiene standards, managing cleanliness and food safety protocols.
Marketing Collaboration: Partner with the marketing team to develop campaigns and events that boost customer engagement and repeat business.
Quality Control: Regularly assess and ensure the consistency and excellence of food and beverage offerings through audits.
Strategic Planning: Work with senior management on strategies for growth, guest loyalty, and brand enhancement in Hong Kong’s competitive dining scene.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in food and beverage management with a leadership role in the restaurant sector; preference for experience in Hong Kong.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Deep understanding of restaurant operations, food trends, and service excellence.
Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and pricing.
Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Passion for high-quality dining experiences.
Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
Creativity with a strong sense of market trends.
Strong problem-solving and business management skills.
