Salon Manager Responsibilities:

– Reports directly to the Director
– Oversee cosmetology-related services
– Ensure the salon is clean, organized and well-staffed
– Perform services such as cutting, colouring, and styling hair
– Provide financial reports for the Salon such as revenue and budget needs
– Prepare reports on staffing changes, guests’ satisfaction, inventory issues, and salon upkeep
– Demonstrate and reinforces excellent guest service to promote a positive customer orientation in the
salon and ensure efficient and quality services.
– Recruit, select, train/ develop and evaluate Salon staff to assure that the staffing levels meet the Salon’s needs
– Attend trade fairs as needed, researches innovative products, new hairstyle trends
– Stay aware and ahead of trends – trains staff as needed
– Ensure guests premium service in all areas – handles any guests’ complaints as necessary
– Maintain speedy solution to problems and monitor repair/replacement of items (any defective equipment, soft and hard furnishings) as required

Requirements:

– 2 years experience in a similar position
– Relevant Hair Dressing Qualifications – NVQ – SVQ3, NVQ – SVQ2 or training in top salon
– To work both independently and in a team
– Business and financial acumen – can prepare MIS reports as needed by management
– Excellent MS Office Skills
– Ability to prioritize tasks
– Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and guests
– Excellent English – written and spoken
– Self-motivated and detail-oriented
