About the Role:

The Kitchen Manager serves as the operational backbone of the kitchen—ensuring that every element, from preparation to plating, runs with precision and consistency. This role is ideal for a driven and detail-oriented professional who thrives in high-performance environments and understands the demands of Michelin-level execution.

Acting as the bridge between culinary vision and operational excellence, the Kitchen Manager oversees the entire kitchen ecosystem, ensuring that standards are not only met—but elevated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse culinary brigade, fostering a culture of accountability, discipline, and excellence.
  • Uphold and enforce the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to execute menus with precision, consistency, and creativity.
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and supplier relationships to ensure premium ingredient quality and cost efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor cost-control measures, minimizing waste while maximizing resource utilization.
  • Continuously refine kitchen workflows, optimizing productivity without compromising quality.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, training sessions, and skill development initiatives for kitchen staff.
  • Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen meet exacting standards of taste, presentation, and portioning.
  • Handle operational challenges proactively, maintaining composure and efficiency during peak service periods.
  • Drive innovation in kitchen systems, aligning with global best practices and Michelin Guide expectations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Demonstrated success as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role within fine dining or Michelin-recognized establishments.
  • Deep understanding of high-end kitchen operations, including inventory systems, food costing, and workflow optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of international food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven leadership ability with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes culinary environment.
  • Culinary diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is highly advantageous.
