Restaurant Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee general Front-of-House daily operations of Japanese restaurant
  • Coordinate and work closely with kitchen team to deliver quality food and guest experience
  • Respond efficiently to guest complaints and queries with urgency, poise, and no judgement
  • Deliver great and warm service to restaurant guests
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and safety in the dining area
  • Organize and supervise shifts. Manage whole front-of-house team, including scheduling, mentoring, developing, and disciplining
  • Train and educate new team members

Restaurant Manager Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a Japanese restaurant
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Japanese cuisine and culture
  • Effective leadership, motivational, and people skills
  • Excellent financial and time management skills
  • High quality food and customer service standards
  • Proficiency in Japanese language is preferred but not at all necessary
