About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all front-of-house service activities during shifts.
- Lead pre-service briefings, ensuring team alignment on menu knowledge, daily specials, and service standards.
- Train, mentor, and continuously develop service staff to uphold fine-dining excellence.
- Monitor the guest journey throughout service, anticipating needs and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Provide attentive and personalized service to VIP guests with professionalism and discretion.
- Manage reservation flow in coordination with the host team to optimize table turnover without compromising service quality.
- Handle guest feedback and concerns promptly, ensuring effective resolution and service recovery.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth and timely service delivery.
- Maintain high standards of grooming, hygiene, and presentation among service staff.
- Oversee table settings, dining room cleanliness, and adherence to brand standards.
- Support inventory control of service equipment, ensuring availability at all times.
- Assist management with scheduling, shift planning, and manpower allocation.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysia’s health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback and evaluations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance service efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Promote a strong culture of teamwork, professionalism, and service excellence.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or Head Waiter role within fine dining or luxury hospitality.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Solid knowledge of fine-dining service etiquette and standards.
- Ability to remain composed and solutions-driven in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a guest-centric approach.
- Familiarity with Japanese cuisine concepts is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
