Cutting Edge Recruitment is partnering with a leading hospitality group in Taiwan on a confidential search for an Executive Chef to lead the kitchen of one of its flagship fine-dining restaurants in Taipei.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Chinese chef with a strong background in Chinese cuisine to take charge of an established, high-profile restaurant and lead its next stage of culinary development.
We are looking for a chef with excellent technical foundations in Chinese cuisine, a deep understanding of regional Chinese culinary traditions, and the leadership ability to run a high-performing kitchen to international fine-dining standards.
The Role:
As Executive Chef, you will take overall responsibility for the restaurant’s culinary operation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring and developing the kitchen team.
- Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
- Developing and refining menus while respecting the restaurant’s culinary identity.
- Managing kitchen systems, food safety, standards and cost control.
- Working closely with senior management to drive the restaurant’s continued development.
- Building a disciplined, professional kitchen culture and developing the chefs within the team.
Who We’re Looking For:
You may currently work as an Executive Chef, Head Chef or highly accomplished Sous Chef ready to step into a larger leadership role.
You should bring:
- Strong professional experience in Sichuan cuisine.
- Excellent foundations in traditional Chinese cooking techniques.
- Experience in fine dining, luxury hotels or other high-standard restaurant environments.
- Proven kitchen leadership and team-management ability.
- Strong attention to quality, consistency and detail.
- The confidence to lead an established culinary operation while continuing to develop it.
- A collaborative and professional leadership style.
Experience working internationally or in Michelin-recognised restaurants would be advantageous. However, we also welcome exceptional chefs whose experience demonstrates the required culinary ability, technical expertise and leadership.
The Opportunity:
This senior culinary appointment offers the opportunity to join an ambitious hospitality group and lead a prestigious restaurant in one of Asia’s most exciting food cities.
The position is based in Taipei and comes with an initial two-year contract under Taiwan law. The group can discuss relocation support with suitable candidates.
