Commis Chef Responsibilities:
- Work alongside Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie
- Assist other chefs in the food preparation process
- Cook and prepare a house-made vegetarian menu
- Measures, mixes, and prepares meal ingredients, sauces, and seasonings
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage container
- Do an inventory of kitchen supplies and notify superiors when stock is low
- Help with deliveries and restocking
Commis Chef Requirements:
- Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation
- An experience in handling raw food is preferable
- Proven professional kitchen experience and skill with best cooking practices
- Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have great organizational skills
- Able to multitask, and work in a busy environment
- Has an active character, team player qualities and attention to details
